Moriches is a hamlet located in Suffolk County, NY with a population of 2,838 residents according to the 2010 census. Served by the William Floyd School District, the hamlet's name comes from the native american name of Meritces, a land owner in Morches Neck.

Center Moriches is a hamlet in Suffolk County, New York, United States, located in the Town of Brookhaven. It houses the historic Masury Estate Ballroom and Terry-Ketcham Inn, both listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

East Moriches

East Moriches is a census designated hamlet located in Suffolk County, New York, within the town of Brookhaven, and with a population of nearly 5.200 according to the 2010 census. It is named after a native american named Meritces, who owned land on Moriches Neck.


Eastport is a hamlet situated in Suffolk County, New York, sharing borders with the towns of Southampton and Brookhaven, having a population of nearly 2000 residents as of the 2010 census. It covers a total area of 5.4 square miles, 5.3 square miles of land and 0.12 square miles being water.


Locate din the southeastern part of the town of Brookhaven in central Suffolk County, Mastic is a hamlet with a population of almost 16,000 as of the 2010 census. Originally called Forge, it was changed in 1893 into Mastic.


Shirley is a hamlet Suffolk County, New York, United States. The community is named fordeveloper Walter T. Shirley who had a vision in the 1950s to turn the area on Mastic Bay into an affordable enclave. Shirley is a community in the Town of Brookhaven, on the South Shore of Long Island.


Manorville is located in the town of Brookhaven, nestled in the pine barrens region of Suffolk County. It is the largest hamlet in all of New York, United States. Manorville has seen a large influx of single-family homes and senior communities in the past five to ten years.

Wading River

Wading River is a hamlet located in Suffolk County, NY. It has a population of almost 8000 residents, and covers an area of almost 10 square miles. The earliest known records show that Wading River was most probably founded in 1671 by eight colonial families.


Speonk is a hamlet located in the Town of Southampton, NY. The meadows around Speonk were leased to cattle owners coming in from Southmapton as early as 1712. Most of the hamlet's residents also came in from Southampton and Bridgehampton during the 1740's, establishing farming and logging communities.


A hamlet in Suffolk County, NY, Westhampton has a population ofs 3,079 according to the 2010 census. The hamlet of Westhampton covers a total area of 14.9 square miles, 2.2 of them being water and the rest of 12.7 square miles land, and it sees an average of 43.4 inches of precipitation yearly.

Westhampton Beach

The Village of Westhampton Beach is located on the southeast coast of Long Island, and it has a population of approximately 1,721 residents. In 1938 it was hit by a hurricane resulting in twentynine local deaths and the complete destruction of the summer homes on its barrier beach.
